The 3 – stage filtration process begins as soon as the air enters the machine, where it first passes through the EcoSilver pre-filter. The EcoSilver pre-filter utilizes silver nanoparticles to prevent the growth of bacteria and viruses. It also includes natural coconut carbon which neutralizes harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and household odors caused by cooking, cleaning, smoking, and pets. The air then passes through a HEPA filter where up to 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns in size are trapped. These tiny airborne particles can include smoke, pollen, dust, pet hair and dander, mold spores and dust mite debris. It’s recommended to change the HEPA filter every 6-12 months and the pre-filter every 3 months for maximum efficiency, or more depending on air quality and environmental factors.
